The family of David Lach Collins of Minneapolis, MN announces his passing, and invites all who knew him to remember him here.
These are some of the moments and memories that shaped his story.
Parenthood is the slow work of love. David did it well.
David Lach Collins was born on December 24, 1978, in Minneapolis, Minnesota. On May 3, 2026, he died after a lifelong struggle with mental illness.
David spent most of his life in Minneapolis, the city he loved. He loved his children and the Minnesota Twins. David brought light to every room with his ridiculous stories, snarky humor, and generous hugs. May his memory remind us that "a day without laughter is a day wasted."
-Benjamin Hoffman, The Tao of Pooh
