What we carry forward is the light others gave us.
O'Rourke, Timothy Michael Patrick, 78, died of natural causes on March 28, 2026. He was born Sept. 30, 1947, to Carl Patrick O'Rourke and Lorene (Decker). He grew up in Northeast Minneapolis and was a resident of Hilltop until living in a care facility in recent years. He was a skilled worker in the food service industry. Tim was popular at Edison High School, appearing in class plays and often pairing up for brilliant comedy skits with his close friend, John Nelson. He was on the wrestling team. He was featured in the school's yearbook for his fashion style. Tim was liked and loved by his fellow students, particularly the women. He loved Northeast and even in later years enjoyed being driven around his stomping groups. He eschewed motor travel, never had a license or a vehicle, and made his way through the world by walking or by public transportation. He was a lifelong fan of Frank Sinatra. Something of leprechaun, he was small in stature but a giant in heart. Tim's kindness and his quick and magical wit endeared him to all he met. A memorial service is being planned for later this summer.
