The family of Jerrold Anthony "Jerry" Boerner of De Soto, MO announces his passing, and invites all who knew him to remember him here.

Here is what we wish the world to know of Jerrold.

Jerrold spent his working life as ['union plumber'] — and was, by all accounts, loved by those who knew him best.

Jerrold stood in service when he was needed; that, too, is a kind of legacy.

Jerrold Anthony Boerner was born in St. Louis on November 10, 1939 a son to Otto and Bernices (nee Walk) Boerner. He died at Evelyn's Hospice House in Creve Coeur at the age of 86. He is survived by his wife of almost 60 years, Barbara L. (nee Yerkey) Boerner of De Soto; a son Charles "Chuck" (Nicole) Boerner, Fenton; a daughter Peggy (Michael) Boerner-Kirk, Valles Mines; two granddaughters: Ashley Colaiacovo and Lily Kirk; three great grandchildren: Aubrey, Aryiah "Rosie" and Stryker. He is preceded in death by his parents and one sister Kathleen (David) Yingling. Jerry served in the United States Navy and had retired as a union plumber. He enjoyed wood working and being outdoors, especially hunting and camping. He volunteered for many years for the Boy Scouts of American and was a member of Plumber and Pipefitters Local #562.
