Vera C. "Pat" Kirn of De Soto, MO has gone home, leaving behind a circle of those who loved her.

It is the small moments that often matter most.

Vera C. "Pat" Kirn (98) died on May 2, 2026 at Mercy Hospital Jefferson. Pat was born on August 23, 1927 in Perry County, MO to the late Louis A. Miget and Mary C. (nee Huber) Miget. She married Francis "Gene" Kirn at the Church of Assumption in Perryville on December 31, 1949. In addition to being a homemaker she was proprietor of the Little Pink Store and retired in 1992 from Joachim Savings and Loan. She and Gene spent many retirement years traveling the states including Alaska and spending winters in Arizona.

She is survived by two sons: Michael (Constance Schmidt) Kirn and Scott (Claudia) Kirn; grandsons, August (Sarah) Kirn, Seth Kirn, Zachary (Brandy) Kirn and Thomas (Shannon Stephenson) Kirn; great grandchildren, Ian, Colin, Isabelle, Sophia, Ari and Owen Kirn.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, four brothers, Rev. Robert H. Miget, C.M., Lenn C. (Marie) Miget, Weldon E. (Mildred) Miget and Stephen P. (Marcella) Miget; and five sisters, Mabel (Dan) Berkbigler, Elta (Paul) Berkbigler, Eula (Walter Billy) Smith, Zella (Virgil) Greer, and Virginia (Elva Junior) Harris.

As an expression of sympathy memorial donations may be made the St. Rose School Success Fund, 504 S. 3rd St., De Soto, MO 63020.
