A life of faith is rarely a life of certainty — but always one of trust.
Juanita Gallegos, 47, of Abilene, Texas, passed away on May 4, 2026, in Abilene. She was born on January 29, 1979, in San Angelo, Texas. Juanita will be remembered for her vibrant personality and the joy she brought to those around her. She loved expressing herself through makeup and hair styling, often changing her look with creativity and flair. She enjoyed making music videos, singing karaoke, and spending time with her beloved nieces and nephews. Her laughter and energy made every gathering brighter. She is survived by her daughter, Ruby Elaine Mercedes Gallegos; her mother, Juanita Esquivel Gallegos; her sisters, Teresa Gallegos (Thomas Ramos), Maria Gallegos (Arnulfo Rio), Blanca Gallegos, Luisa Hernandez, and Melissa Gallegos (Alfonso Armando Garcia ); and her brothers, Tony Gallegos, Jose Alfredo Gallegos, and Jesus Gallegos 38 nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her father, Juan Antonio Gallegos; her grandmothers, Fernanda Valadez and Crecensia Dominguez Esquivel. A visitation will be held on Wednesday, May 6, 2026, from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at North's Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held on Thursday at 11:00 a.m. at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 3325 N. 12th Street, with burial to follow at Elmwood Memorial Cemetery. Juanita's memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.
