Judith Ann "Judy" Boxwell (nee Gunnett) was born in DeSoto, MO on August 15, 1951 to Raymond Gunnett, Sr. and Helen (nee Oatman) Gunnett. She passed surrounded by family on May 2, 2026. She is survived by her three children: Sherry Pyatt, William "Bill" (Stephanie) Riggs, and Bryan (Alysia) Grawe and one step-son Ian Boxwell. She was the grandmother to: Sara (Jesse) Mayfield, Timothy "TJ" Pyatt, Emmalee (Nick) Wilkins, Amber (Jason) Arnold, Melissa Riggs, William Riggs, Trenton Riggs, Hayden Grawe, and Abby Grawe and the great-grandmother to 15 great-grandchildren. She is also survived by two brothers: Ray (Michele) Gunnett and Robert (Brenda) Gunnett. She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband Gary Boxwell; two sisters: Leetha Irene Myers and Ruthie Gunnett; and two brothers: Walter Gunnett and Albert Gunnett.

Judy will be remembered for her long stories, her stubbornness, her love of cooking, and her love for her family. She made the best sweet potatoes and stuffing that was worth fighting over every Thanksgiving. She retired from Jefferson County Department of Corrections after 16 years.
