Martha held deeply to the Baptist faith — and was, by all accounts, loved by those who knew her best.

Faith gave Martha a place to stand, and a place to return to.

Service Date April 27, 2026

Funeral services will be at 2:00 PM Monday April 27, 2026, at Old Piney Missionary Baptist Church with pastor Rex Everett officiating, the family will receive Friends from 12:00 Noon to 2:00 P.M. Monday at the church, the burial will follow in the Old Piney Church Cemetery.

Martha Louise Bailey, age 80, of Greenville, SC, formerly of Maryville passed away April 23rd at Prisma (Blount Memorial) Hospital. She was preceded in death by husband, James Bailey, her parents John and Myrtle West Benton, brother Robert, Bobby and Herbert Benton and sister Delores Benton. Left to cherish her memory is daughter Sherry and husband William Owens. Martha was always telling others how much she "loved her Billy" referring to her son in law. Also survived by daughter Lorie Kowalski and stepson Samuel Bailey.

Memorial Funeral Home LLC has been entrusted with the arrangements.
