The family of Nicholas J. DiNofa of Richboro, PA announces his passing, and invites all who knew him to remember him here.
What follows is not the whole story, but a thread of it.
The heart keeps better records than the calendar.
Nicholas Joseph DiNofa, 27, of Richboro, PA, passed away on May 2, 2026, surrounded by his loving family and friends. He fought a hard battle with leukemia, facing it with strength and courage for the sake of those he loved. Born in Elkins Park, PA on April 9, 1999, he was the beloved son of Gino and Susan DiNofa. His love for his parents was immeasurable. Nicholas was the happiest child; he exuded warmth and kindness to all. After the passing of his father, his stepfather, Dave, was a fundamental influence in his life.
Nicholas loved his older brother, Dominick. They were partners in crime causing chaos during their childhood years. As time passed, their bond became more than just brothers, they were best friends. They loved rooting for all Philadelphia sports teams. Dominick and Nicholas especially loved their game day traditions spending the day down at Lincoln Financial Field cheering on their favorite team. Their brotherhood was defined by love, loyalty, and countless unforgettable moments.
Nicholas' greatest love was his wife, Alexandra. She was his world, his partner, and his source of strength. Their love was at the center of everything in his life. It was selfless, honest and pure. Nicholas and Alexandra began creating their familial home when they adopted their cats, Sixer and Pete. Their cats brought Nicholas comfort and joy. The home they built together was as warm and inviting as he was. The greatest day of his life was getting to marry his best friend on January 30, 2026. Although the years were wonderful, eight years was not enough time together. Their love was a rare and beautiful kind-one that will endure beyond time and continue to inspire all who witnessed it.
Nick was competitive in all facets of his life- pool basketball, poker or any pick up game. Nick enjoyed fishing, spending time at the beach, and hanging out with his friends. He was considered the glue of his friend group. There wasn't a problem he couldn't solve and always provided a shoulder for anyone to cry on. Nick left a lasting mark on everyone fortunate enough to know him. Nicholas dedicated his career to being a registered nurse, living a life centered on caring for others. He was compassionate, strong and wanted to make everyone better. To his coworkers, he was a friend, a teacher, and was always looking to ease their burdens. Even during his illness, he continued to put others before himself, a true reflection of the way he lived every day.
Nicholas is survived by his loving wife, Alexandra (née Slack) DiNofa; his nonna, Ida (née Berardi) DiNofa; his mother, Susan (née Thompson) DiNofa; his brother, Dominick (Alycia) DiNofa ; his stepbrother, David Jentsch Jr.; his mother-in-law Mary E Richards (née Slack); and his brother-in-law Joseph J.
