With heavy hearts, we share the passing of Donald H. "Don" Meadows of Richboro, PA.
Some lives speak quietly; his is one such story.
Donald held deeply to the Catholic faith — and was, by all accounts, loved by those who knew him best.
What Donald believed shaped how he loved.
Donald H. Meadows, of Nockamixon Township, passed away peacefully on April 23, 2026, at the age of 78.
He is survived by his beloved wife of 59 years, Bonnie Meadows (née McGuigan).
Born in Suffolk, Virginia, to Irvin and Monica Meadows, Don joined the United States Navy at the age of 17 and proudly served his country during the Vietnam War era. While stationed in Iceland, he was an accomplished boxer. He was later stationed at the Naval Air Development Center (NADC) Johnsville, where he met his wife, Bonnie. Don went on to serve as a firefighter on the crash crew at Johnsville and later became Fire Chief. Known to many simply as "Chief," he was respected for his strength, leadership, and unwavering dedication to his family.
Along with his wife, Bonnie, Don is survived by his loving children: Donald Meadows and his wife Donna; Kevin Meadows; Tim Meadows; and Marissa Fizzano and her husband Foster. He is also survived by his grandchildren: Patrick and his wife Sarah, Christian, Lilia, Mia, Liam, and Clara. He is further survived by his brother, Ricky Meadows, and his sister, Veronica Cecil.
Don was predeceased by his son, Christopher Meadows; his grandson, Donovan Meadows; and his brother, Michael Meadows. Don was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and friend whose strength and loyalty left a lasting impression on everyone who knew him.
