The family of Patricia Kay George Godin of Lindale, TX announces her passing, and invites all who knew her to remember her here.

What follows is a brief look at the life her family wishes to share.

Patricia held deeply to the Baptist faith — and was, by all accounts, loved by those who knew her best.

Faith gave Patricia a place to stand, and a place to return to.

Patricia Kay George Godin, 79, of Lindale, Texas, went home to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on May 4, 2026, in Tyler, Texas.

Patricia was born on February 17, 1947, in Memphis, Texas, to Doyce George and Ola Ozella (Wright) George. Over the course of her life, she faithfully invested in her family, her students, and her church. She spent the last 19 years in Lindale, where she was a devoted member of First Baptist Church.

Patricia loved her family deeply and consistently. She delighted in celebrating every new season of life, including graduations, marriages, and the arrival of children and grandchildren. She was a steady presence, always pointing her family forward and urging them to follow where God was leading, no matter the cost.

Her love for Jesus Christ was the defining center of her life. She not only trusted Him personally, but labored in prayer and example so that her children would come to know and follow Him as well. She loved studying the Bible and spent countless hours investing in other women by mentoring, discipling, and encouraging them to walk faithfully with Christ and to love their families well. Her life powerfully reflected the truth she believed.

Patricia served for many years as a teacher in Austin, Corpus Christi, and Aldine ISD. She approached teaching not simply as a career, but as a calling, offering wisdom and care to the many students entrusted to her.

She was a devoted and loving wife to her husband, Pat. Her love was not outwardly demonstrative, but it was selfless, sacrificial, and unwavering. It was the kind of love that provided strength and stability through every season of life.

Patricia also found great joy in travel. She treasured time spent visiting her children, regardless of where they lived in the world at the time. She especially loved traveling alongside her husband, often enjoying the adventure and joys of cruising together. These experiences were less about the destinations and more about the people she loved being near.

At home, Patricia enjoyed tending to her plants, so much so that her home could rival the Amazon. She also loved to read, especially her beloved "tea cozy mysteries". She had a steady way about her that made home feel like home.

She is survived by her beloved husband, Pat Godin; her children, Steven Godin and wife Crystal of Denton, Kevin Godin and wife Brigitte of Broomfield, Colorado, and Kimberly Godin of Marseille, France; her brother, Larry George and wife Jeanette of Houston; her grandchildren, Alicia Rodriguez and husband Jose, Ariel Godin and fiancé Carlos Enriquez, Grace Godin and fiancé Spencer Smith, Trinity Godin, and Josiah Godin; her two great-grandchildren; and many other cherished family members and dear friends.

While her family grieves her absence deeply, they do so with hope, rejoicing that she is now in the presence of the Savior she loved and served so faithfully.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, May 11, 2026, at First Baptist Church of Lindale, with Dr. Tom Buck officiating. Interment will follow at Lindale City Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Sunday, May 10, 2026, at Caudle-Rutledge-Daugherty Funeral Home in Lindale.
