The family of Rev. Jacqueline Wilson of Allentown, PA announces her passing, and invites all who knew her to remember her here.

Below, the simplest tribute: the truth of a life as it was lived.

It is the small moments that often matter most.

Rev. Jacqueline Wilson, 79, of Allentown, PA transitioned from Labor to Reward on May 2, 2026, in Lehigh Valley Hospital-Cedar Crest. Born in Rocky Mount, North Carolina on February 15, 1947, she was the daughter of the Late Jesse Pittman and Ella Mae (Close). She was a loving wife to her late husband Elder Leslie E. Wilson, who transitioned October 30, 2025, and was preceded in death by her parents Jessie and Ella Mae Pittman of Rocky Mount, N.C, and her brother, Clifton Pittman of East Orange, NJ (survived by his wife, Linda Pittman).

She is survived by her sons Duane V. Wilson of Memphis, TN; Dedric and Makita Wilson of Allentown, PA and grandson De'Shaun X. Wilson of Wyomissing, PA; her brother Joel Keith Pittman of Suffolk, VA; her sister Velma Pittman Cole of Upper Marlboro, MD; her sister Marion Pittman-Couch (Tony) of Winston-Salem, NC; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. A devote Christian and servant of the Lord. Rev. Jacqueline Wilson was ordained in the AME Zion Church at St. James AME Zion church in 2010. There she began her preaching tenure and continued in His service in multiple roles within St. James even when her body would not allow it.

The Lord called home one of his most faithful, diligent servants and spiritual teacher and released her body from all worldly pain and suffering. She will be missed by many in the church community as well those in her personal life.

Funeral Services will take place on Saturday May 9, 2026 at 10AM in St. James A.M.E.Zion Church 410 Union St. Allentown, PA. Viewing will take place on Friday from 5-6:30PM followed by a service of Remembrance and Reflection from 6:30-8PM and again on Saturday from 9-10AM Interment will follow services in Cedar Hill Memorial Park-Allentown.
