Parenthood is the slow work of love. Sheldon did it well.

Sheldon (Butch) Johnson passed on April 3 rd , 2026, at the young age of 80. Butch preceded in death by son Johnny Johnson; parents, Wilbert Johnson and Bernice (Ellingson) Johnson; siblings, Marlin (Jeanine), Larry (Bonnie), Dallas, William, Sandra (Harley) Berry, Barbara Brown, Beverly Gormley, Dennis Johnson, and Donald (Linda)

Johnson; and former spouse, Irene Johnson.

Survived by his children, Mark Boys, Becky Zieska Hanson, Christine (Kevin) Skwarek, Steven Johnson; siblings Marlys Lubinski, and Alan (Jeanie); special nephew Tommy Brown; many beloved grandchildren and great-grandchildren; along with many other nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends. He was grateful to discover and connect with additional children, treasuring the time they were able to share together. He will be remembered for his sense of humor, love for the outdoors (especially fishing)

and his love for his family and friends.

There will be a Celebration of Life at the Columbia Heights VFW Thursday, April 23 rd

from 1:00-3:00pm.
