Jose Luis Rico Castillo, 69 a resident of Deming, NM went to be with the Lord on Saturday, May 2, 2026 at Mimbres Valley Medical Center.
Jose was born on May 26, 1956 in Cuauhtemoc, Chihuahua, Mexico to Ruperto Rico Castillo and Lucinda Castillo.
He is survived by his loving wife, Martha Elena Garcia de Rico; three sons, Luis Rico and his wife Adriana of Phoenix, AZ; Gerardo Rico and his wife Monica Guzman of Deming, NM and Jesus Rico and his wife Fabiola Flores of Deming, NM; one daughter, Letty Rico and her husband AmnerCastillo of Deming, NM; two brothers, Eddiberto Rico and Enrique Rico; one sister, Rafaela Rico; fourteen grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by both of his parents; one brother, Uvaldo Rico and one sister, Irma Gloria Rico.
Visitation will be on Thursday, May 7, 2026 from 11am-1pm at Terrazas Funeral Chapel. Funeral service will then begin at 1pm with Pastor Obed Rivera officiating. Concluding services with an interment will be at Mountain View Cemetery.
Serving as pallbearers are Alexis Rico, Damian Flores, Gerardo Rico Jr., Eduardo Rico, Osbaldo Rico, Jesus Rico, Gerardo Rico, Luis Rico and Amner Castillo

Le sobreviven su amada esposa, Martha Elena García de Rico; tres hijos: Luis Rico y su esposa Adriana, de Phoenix, AZ; Gerardo Rico y su esposa Monica Guzman, de Deming, NM; y Jesus Rico y su esposa Fabiola Flores, de Deming, NM; una hija: Letty Rico y su esposo Amner Castillo, de Deming, NM; dos hermanos: Eddiberto Rico y Enrique Rico; una hermana: Rafaela Rico; catorce nietos y dos bisnietos.
Le precedieron en la muerte sus padres; un hermano, Uvaldo Rico; y una hermana, Irma Gloria Rico.
El velorio se llevará a cabo el jueves 7 de mayo de 2026, de 11:00 a. m. a 1:00 p. m., en la Funeraria Terrazas. El servicio de funeral comenzará a la 1:00 p. m., oficiado por el pastor Obed Rivera. Los servicios concluirán con el sepelio en el Panteon Vista a la Montaña.
