Karl Eugene McClenny of Boise, ID has gone home, leaving behind a circle of those who loved him.

Karl Eugene McClenny was born to Joseph J. and Maxine Jones McClenny joining older sister Phyllis on January 21, 1954, in Twin Falls, Idaho. Karl passed on April 29, 2026, at St. Lukes hospital in Boise, Idaho. He spent his early years in the Magic Valley before moving to Riddle, Oregon at the age of 8 years old with his family, which by then included two younger siblings Patty and Kurt. After graduating from Riddle High School, he moved to Alaska and worked on an oil rig for several years. He moved back to Idaho making Boise his home. He married Michele and they had two children, Melissa and Ted. Karl and Michele soon divorced but Karl never missed an event his kids were involved in. Karl was an avid reader and passed down his love of reading to his daughter. They enjoyed reading together and spent many happy hours engrossed in their books. Karl also loved spending time with Ted playing pool, camping or just hanging out. Karl considered Ted his best friend. Karl has two grandsons Teagan McClenny and Brayden McClenny whom he adored. Nothing gave him more happiness than talking and spending time with those two boys. Karl enjoyed reading, puzzles and people watching. He was a happy, positive person who lived life on his own terms.
He is survived by his daughter Melissa McClenny, his son Ted McClenny, grandsons Teagan McClenny and Brayden McClenny, sister Patty (David) DeMaio, Brother Kurt (Pam) McClenny, numerous nephews, nieces and cousins.
He is preceded in death by his parents Joe and Maxine McClenny, sister Phyllis Ruckel, brother-in-law Larry Ruckel, nephew Jaret Ruckel and numerous Aunts, Uncles and cousins.
Arrangements are with the Cremation Society of Idaho. A celebration of Life will be at a later date.
