Kavian “Terry” Altereke Sanders of Newberry, SC, has passed away, leaving behind a family and community who loved him dearly.

Kavian held deeply to the Baptist faith — and was, by all accounts, loved by those who knew him best.

What is held in faith is rarely lost.

With deepest sympathy, Wilson Funeral Home announces the passing of Mr. Kavian Altereke "Terry" Sanders, 40. Mr. Sanders transitioned into eternal rest on Monday, May 4, 2026, at Lexington Medical Center. Born on November 20, 1985, in Newberry, South Carolina, he was the son of the late Tony Sanders and Pamela Gray.

His memory will be cherished by his mother, Pamela Gray; two brothers, Kiotti Gray (Desiree) and Taurean Robinson; two sisters, Kanequia Gray and Shawndrea Caldwell. In addition, he leaves a host of other relatives who will deeply miss him.

Visitation will be held 12-5pm Friday May 8, 2026, Wilson Funeral Home Newberry, SC.

Funeral services will be conducted 1pm Saturday, May 9, 2026, at Bethlehem Baptist Church Newberry, SC.

Interment will follow at Werts Cemetery.
