Lavellas Mildred Smith of Jonesboro, AR, has passed away, leaving behind a family and community who loved her dearly.

Every life leaves an echo in the lives it has known.

Formerly of Jonesboro, AR and recently of Chesapeake, VA, Levellas Mildred Smith (Wymer), 99, passed away peacefully on April 23rd, 2026, after a brief illness.Levellas was born August 31st, 1926, in Balch, AR, the 6th of 7 children to Raney Roscoe Wymer and Lucy Susan Wymer (Dennis).She married Raymond Lee Smith on January 11, 1948. They were married until Raymond’s death on May 26th, 1992. They had one daughter Susan Raylene on October 28th, 1960.Levellas had many interests over the years. She was a member of The Church of Christ. She enjoyed being outside working in her flower gardens and attending her weekly card games. However, more than just about anything, she loved the St. Louis Cardinals. She was a lifelong fan and watched them on TV whenever possible.Remaining to cherish Levellas’ memory are her daughter, Raylene Graves and Raylene’s partner, Terry Knutson, as well as grandchildren, Samuel Alan Graves and Wade Lee Graves.Preceding Levellas in death are her husband, Raymond Lee Smith, brothers Joe and Raymond Wymer and sisters Lois Ball, Ruby Henary, Freda DeNinno, and Mary Ziegenhorn.Visitation will be May 6, 2026 from 10:00-11:00 am at Gregg-Langford-Bookout Funeral Home Chapel with service at 11 to follow. Interment will be in Vanndale, AR at Vanndale Cemetery at 2:00 pm.Memorial donations in Levellas’ memory may be directed to Susan G. Komen Foundation.
