Leon Francis “Teet” Cardish, age 83, of Shawano, passed away on Tuesday, May 5, 2026, in Shawano. He was born on November 23, 1942, to the late Peter Sr. and Theresa (Corn) Cardish in Shawano. Leon worked as a custodian for St. Michael’s Church for several years. He loved his animals including many cats and dogs through the years. Leon loved playing cards, especially cribbage with his niece, Verdene. He was an avid Brewers and Packers fan. He also enjoyed working on his yard. Leon was a simple and quiet man with a big heart who loved his daughters dearly.Leon is survived by his children, Tresha (Ron) Delabrue and Tammi Malotky; grandchildren, India, Tarah, Aubrey, and Nathan; and great grandchildren, Derek and Kyleigh. He is further survived by many nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.Leon is preceded in death by his son Robert in infancy; his parents; and siblings, Georgia, Leo, Sandra, Lawrence, Edwin, Clifford, Peter Jr., Regina, Wilson, Ellen, and Gerald.A memorial gathering will be held from 3:00 – 5:00 pm on Friday, May 8, 2026, at Swedberg Funeral Home in Shawano.
