After a life of love and quiet grace, Clifford Vincent Wilber of Shawano, WI has passed.

Behind every name is a life, and behind every life are the people who loved it.

Grief is love with nowhere left to go.

Clifford Vincent Wilber, 79, of Keshena, WI, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, May 5, 2026, surrounded by his family. Born in Keshena on January 9, 1947. Clifford was a devoted husband, loving father, brother, grandfather, great grandfather, uncle, and friend. Clifford was a good listener, cook, hunter, fisherman, and storyteller who always ended with a memorable joke that stayed with his listeners.He is survived by his wife of 61 years of marriage, Marjoel; and their children, Patricia (Gordon) Williams Sr., Clifford W. Wilber, Irene (Clown) Max Chevalier, Kathleen Barnes, Jeremy (Heather) Wilber, and Amanda “Sweetie” (Felix) Martinez-Doxtator. Special thank you to his oldest granddaughter, Felicia Wilber, who stayed by his side until the end of his journey home. Additional thanks to Clifford’s long-time case manager and friend, Casey Arrowood and his county nurse, Bridgette Gauthier. Clifford is survived by his two sisters, Rosella (Cooksie) Coopman and Irene (Skeezik) Dickenson; four brothers, Lloyd Fredenberg, Marty Fredenberg, Kevin Wilber, and Keith Wilber. He is further survived by numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.He is preceded in death by two grandchildren, Gary Williams Jr. and Justina Williams; siblings, Merlin Wilber, Marvin Wilber Jr., Lorena (Tootsie) Thoms, Valeria Fuller, Deliah (Dee Dee) Basina, and Diana Wasielewski.In his final days, Clifford managed his illness with strength and grace and spent his final awake time doing what he did best – visiting his loved ones.A funeral service will be held at 11:00 am on Friday, May 8, 2026, at Keshena Assembly of God Church with Pastor Matt Golie officiating. Visitation will be at the family residence at W2536 Cty Rd VV in Keshena starting at 4:00 pm on Wednesday, May 6, 2026, until the time of procession to church on Friday at 10:30 am. Burial will be at Rest Haven Cemetery.Additional thanks to all Thedacare staff who took great care of Clifford.
