Michael John Maceikis of Milton, FL has gone home, leaving behind a circle of those who loved him.

Some lives speak quietly; his is one such story.

Michael spent his working life as ['pipe superintendent and met his life partner', 'professional truck driver'] — and was, by all accounts, loved by those who knew him best.

To raise a child is to give the world a future. Michael did this with care.

Michael John Maceikis passed away peacefully in his sleep on the morning of April 27, 2026, at the age of 56, with his loving wife sitting by his side. He passed after a courageous battle with terminal cancer.

Michael, known to friends and family as Mike, was born on March 30, 1970, in Trenton, New Jersey. He grew up in New Jersey with his mother, Jane, his father, Joe, and his brother, Keith.

Later in life, Mike made his way to Florida, where he worked as a pipe superintendent and met his life partner, Kristin. He spent 21 years with Kristin, nearly 19 of them as her husband, a role he cherished deeply.

Another title he held with great pride was that of father. Without hesitation, he stepped into the role of father and provider to Jesse and Savannah, loving them just as deeply as Amanda and Michael. He was devoted to caring for his family and never saw any of his children as anything less than his own.

Mike often didn't know how to show it, but he was a very caring and loving man. He was always there to support his family, help his friends when in need, and without hesitation give you a hard time, to put it nicely. At the end, he really let his love shine bright.

He took great pride in his career as a professional truck driver, driving over 8 million miles during his 17 years as an over-the-road truck driver. He was always willing to lend a hand to coworkers and remained committed to his team. Mike found himself part of a family at Pinnacle Freight where he was recently honored as Driver of the Year. Pinnacle was truly a company he was proud to be part of.

Outside of work and family, Mike found joy in motorcycle riding, keeping his vehicles polished to perfection, spending time with his dogs, sharing a love for animals with his wife, and enjoying good food as a true foodie at heart.

Mike is now reunited with his mother, Jane; father, Joe; daughter, Amanda; and other beloved family members and friends.

He is survived by his wife, Kristin Shain-Maceikis; his children, Jesse, Savannah, and Michael; his grandson, Jayden James; his brother, Keith Maceikis; and countless others who will cherish his memory.

A funeral service will be held at 10:00 am on Friday, May 8, 2026, at Ebenezer Assembly of God Church Cemetery.
