Sauvilla Lanette "Hamilton" Cunningham of Milton, FL has gone home, leaving behind a circle of those who loved her.
Some stories deserve to be told slowly. This is one of them.
There is no greater gift than the one a parent gives by simply being present.
Sauvilla Lanette "Hamilton" Cunningham was born July 31, 1959 in Milton, FL; to the late Adron Green and Willie Beatrice Hamilton.
She was educated at Jackson Elementary, Hobbs and Kings Middle and completed her studies at Milton High School. Afterwards she began work and West Florida Community Care Center for 34 years before she retired.
In her early years, she attended church at New Providence Baptist and later became a member of Ferris Hill Church of God in Christ, eventually becoming the First Lady of Ferris Hill Outreach Ministries under her husband as the pastor.
In 1975, Sauvilla met Roger who later became her husband in holy matrimony on November 18, 2000. To this union they raised five sons and four daughters.
She leaves to cherish her memories, a dedicated husband of 26 years, Pastor Roger Cunningham. She leaves a legacy of love and devotion to her children: Donnel (Pate) Cunningham, Samuel (Asia) Hamilton-Cunningham, Cedrick ((Kasey) Cunningham, Adron Hamilton Cunningham, Nikyren Cunningham, Lamonte Cunningham, Starla Cunningham, Jaylen Cunningham, Haylee (Ruley) Cunningham, and Nikyla Cunningham; twelve grandchildren, nine great grandchildren: Kamyna, Kaidyn, and Kane Cunningham; sisters, Tara (Larry) Bora of California; Sharon Presley of Pensacola; six brothers, Jackie (Shante) Jarrett and Robert (Elta) Williams of Pensacola, FL; Willis Williams, Glen Hamilton, Clinton Hall, and Thomas Hall of Milton, FL and her special friend, Melissa Cooper.
Sauvilla's radiant smile and presence was loved within the community. Her legacy will be forever treasured.
Services will be held at 1:00 pm, Saturday, May 16, 2026, at Ferris Hill Outreach Ministry.
She will then be laid to rest at Bagdad cemetery.
