It is with sorrow and gratitude that we mark the passing of Chrisa Cazamias of Corpus Christi, TX — sorrow at the loss, gratitude for the life.

What was given remains, even when the giver is gone.
Chrisa Aleck Cazamias, 79, passed away on May 2, 2026. Chrisa was born on May 22, 1946, to Anthony and Sophia Aleck in Albuquerque, New Mexico. She was a woman of deep and abiding faith in her dear Lord Jesus, and her life was characterized by her quiet strength, wisdom, and steadfastness. She was truly a pillar to all those who were blessed to have her in their lives. Chrisa was a loving wife, mother, sister, friend and counselor who will be dearly missed by all who had the honor of knowing her.
Chrisa is preceded in death by her parents, her husband James U. Cazamias, and her siblings Eva, James, and Toni. She is survived by her son James Cazamias, Jr., daughter Paula Cazamias, and siblings Georgia Maryol and Kirk Aleck (Mary Lou).
Visitation will be held from 5 pm to 9 pm on May 11th at Corpus Christi Funeral Home. A Memorial Meeting will be held at 7 pm the same evening. A Funeral Service will be held at 10 am on May 12th at the chapel of Corpus Christi Funeral Home. Interment to follow at Rose Hill Memorial Park.
The family would like to extend special thanks to Chrisa's caregiver, Rosa, who took such tender care of her in her final weeks.
