It is with sorrow and gratitude that we mark the passing of Dale Gerard Wagner of Pulaski, WI — sorrow at the loss, gratitude for the life.

Below, the simplest tribute: the truth of a life as it was lived.

Service is one chapter of a life, but for those who serve, it shapes every other.

Dale Gerard Wagner passed away on Friday, May 1, 2026. He was born on October 25, 1954, in Slinger, the son of the late Daniel and Rosemary (Falter) Wagner.

Dale graduated from Slinger High School in 1972. He married Mary Carter on June 29, 1974, at Holy Trinity Church in Newberg. Dale proudly served in the United States Army from 1972 until his honorable discharge in 1975 with the 32nd Army Air Defense Command.

After operating a dairy farm in Theresa, Dale and his family moved to Krakow in 1984. He later earned an associate degree in Wastewater Management and worked at Sanimax in Green Bay for over 25 years. In addition, he dedicated more than 30 years of service to the Krakow Sanitary District. Dale was also a longtime member of the Knights of Columbus.

Dale enjoyed farming, gardening, hunting, and making homemade wine-interests he proudly passed on to his sons. Above all, he cherished his family and lived for his children and grandchildren.

He is survived by his loving wife, Mary; four sons: Michael, Philip, Richard (Amanda), and Steve (Rachel); and six grandchildren: Alannah, Emily, Daniel, Rosemary, Miles, and Maeve. He is further survived by his siblings: Daniel (MaryAnn) Wagner, Rosalyn (Remie) Plourde, David (Nancy) Wagner, Dennis (Jackie) Wagner, Geralyn (Larry) Unger, and Marilyn (Sylvester) Stys; his father-in-law, Norbert Carter; and his brothers- and sisters-in-law: RoseAnn (Doug) Westpal, Lee (Kathy) Carter, Roy (Susan) Carter, Linda (John) Hempsey, Allen (Pam) Carter, Sue (Rod) Stockbauer, and Tony (Cindy) Carter.

He was preceded in death by his parents, and his mother-in-law, Lucy Carter.

Per Dale's wishes, private family services are being held. A celebration of Dale's life is being planned for later in Summer. Interment with military honors rendered by the Pulaski Veterans took place in Assumption B.V.M. Cemetery, Pulaski.
