It is with sorrow and gratitude that we mark the passing of Daniel R. Saldana of Corpus Christi, TX — sorrow at the loss, gratitude for the life.
These words are offered in his memory — small, but heartfelt.
Few who serve speak of it freely; those who knew him understood.
Daniel R. Saldana, 61, passed away on April 3oth, 2026. Daniel was born on October 27th, 1964, to Amos and Beatris Saldana.
Daniel grew up in Corpus Christi, TX and was a graduate of Mary Carroll High School class of 1983. After high school Daniel enlisted in the United States Army where he served for 6 years. He soon after began his career with CBRE @ Christus Spohn as a Building Engineer.
Daniel enjoyed many hobbies. His favorites were going out and fishing with family and spending time with his grandkids. He was also a very big fan of the Dallas Cowboys and enjoyed spending time watching all their games and cheering them on win or loss. He will always be remembered for his witty sense of humor and sensitive soul. He loved watching his favorite shows like George Lopez and Everybody Loves Raymond. He also enjoyed singing and dancing to his favorite music, especially Lowrider. He also enjoyed relaxing with his fur baby Vixen, no matter where he went, she would follow him. Most of all he will always be remembered for the great love he had for his family and friends. The love for his 4 sons who showed him the best of fatherhood. The countless hours of fishing, playing pool, riding bikes, and just hanging out with his grandchildren, made him feel young at heart. The great get togethers he hosted for Holidays and special occasions and spending time with his loved ones. But most of all the great love of his life, soulmate of 33 years, his wife Noralicia, who through thick and thin was always by his side.
Daniel is proceeded in death by his father Amos Saldana, paternal grandparents, Pablo and Eugenia Saldana, and maternal grandparents Simon and Cruz V. Ramon.
He is survived by his beloved wife Noralicia M. Saldana and mother Beatris Saldana. He also leaves behind his children Daniel Saldana Jr. (Elizabeth), Thomas Saldana (Nicole), Alejandro Martinez Sr. (Judy), and Alain Martinez Sr. (Sara). He is also survived by his brothers Gilbert Saldana, Richard Saldana, and sisters Margarita Saldana, Yvonne Naser, and numerous nephews, nieces, uncles, aunts and cousins.
He was a loving husband, father, son, brother, grandfather, great-grandfather and friend. His kindness and laughter will always live on in the hearts of the people who knew him. He will greatly be missed but never forgotten.
