Rose Ann Poyner, of Alpena, passed away at her home on Monday, May 4, 2026. She was 74 years old.The daughter of Myron and Jeannette (Youngs) Rheinschmidt was born on November 4, 1951 in Watertown, Wisconsin.Rose was a devoted member of the Seventh-day Adventist Church. She found joy in watching cooking shows and cherished the quiet comfort of slow days spent at home. Above all, Rose was a loving and devoted wife, mother, and grandmother, whose presence brought warmth to her family and all who knew her.She was preceded in death by her husband, Orville Poyner; her parents; one sister, Connie Sullivan; one brother, Glenn Rheinschmidt; a granddaughter, Melissa Durbin; and a grandson, Nathan Lee Durbin. Survivors include two daughters, Kim (Matt) Davis and Jodie (Billy) Mercado; one stepson, Willie Poyner; two stepdaughters, Tracy and Jennifer; two grandsons, Michael Mercado and Dakota Davis; and a host of other family and friends. No service will be held at this time.
