Gwendolyn Lewis passed away on April 4, 2026, at the age of 72. Gwendolyn Lewis is survived by her sisters - Joyce Carter, Patricia Johnson, Yvonne Lewis, and Gilda Hickerson and her brothers - Walter Lewis and Mark Lewis. Also survived by her niece Nakita Shelton and a host of other nieces, nephews, great-nieces and nephews, godchildren, sorors, and friends. Preceded in death by her mother Ruby Blunt-Lewis and her father Johnnie Lewis. Family and friends are invited to attend her Celebration of Life on Friday May 8, 2026, for 10:00 a.m. at Franklin Avenue Baptist Church 8181 Lake Forest Blvd, New Orleans, La 70126.
