After a life of love and quiet grace, Marcia "Cat Momma" Wilk of Framingham, MA has passed.

These are the contours of a life that meant a great deal to many.

Marcia spent her working life as ['teacher'] — and was, by all accounts, loved by those who knew her best.

What was given remains, even when the giver is gone.

Marcia Goldsmith Wilk, 79, a longtime resident of Framingham, died Tuesday, April 28, 2026, following a brief illness. Born in Brookline, the daughter of the late Norman and Frances (Alter) Goldsmith, she was the beloved wife of Henry Wilk, Jr.

Raised and educated in Marblehead, where she graduated from Marblehead High School. She went on to graduate from Wheaton College, and received her Masters Degree from Northwestern University. Marcia enjoyed a long career as a teacher, spending most of it as a social studies teacher at Wayland High School until her retirement in 2002. She enjoyed playing bridge and canasta. And spent the last several years substitute teaching at the Willow Hill School in Sudbury.

Often referring to herself as "Cat Momma", Marcia loved caring for her pet cats. She was an avid reader, usually reading a book a day. Happiness came in the form of going on cruises with her husband and friends. She recently celebrated her birthday by going on her 60th cruise. Marcia enjoyed sports, attending Red Sox games and especially the Patriots games with her husband (as long as the weather was warm!).

Along with her husband Henry, Marica is survived by her stepsons, Thomas Wilk & his wife Shannon of Charlton, and Matthew Wilk & his wife Megan of Northborough, and her cherished grandsons, Thomas and Aiden.

Besides her parents, Marcia was predeceased by her brother, Robert Goldsmith.

Marcia's family will honor and remember her life privately.
