Raymond N. Shorey of Framingham, MA has gone home, leaving behind a circle of those who loved him.

Raymond N. Shorey, a devoted husband, loving father, cherished grandfather, and great-grandfather passed away peacefully on Wednesday, April 29, 2026, at the age of 94, just shy of his 95th birthday. He was born in Livermore Falls, ME and was a long-time resident of Framingham, MA. He was the beloved husband of 70 years to the late Dorothy T. Shorey.
Raymond was the son of the late Forest Shorey and Sarah (Murphy) Shorey. He was a banker for 45 years with Union Market National Bank and BayBank. Ray was an accomplished candlepin bowler and cribbage player who loved sports, especially when attending his grandchildren's baseball, basketball, softball, soccer and volleyball games. He also enjoyed traveling all over the world with his wife, Dot.
He is survived by his children, David and his wife MaryEllen of Ashland, Diane Shorey-Jones, wife of the late E. Richard Jones of Framingham, Nancy Ruskin and her partner Pedro Mendes of Worcester, and Robert and his wife Lori of Whitinsville. Raymond is also survived by his grandchildren, Lindsay, her husband Daniel Johnston and their son, Thomas, and daughter, Hannah of Northborough, Brian Jones, his wife Marissa Holmbeck and their son Cayden of San Rafael, CA, Steven Jones of Milford, and Emily, Kimberly and Michael Shorey all of Whitinsville. He was predeceased by his siblings, Arthur Shorey, Forest Shorey, William Shorey, and Blaine Shorey, and his granddaughter, Sarah Shorey.
Family and friends are invited to honor and remember Raymond's life by gathering for visiting hours in the Norton, McKinney & Lawler Funeral Home, 53 Beech St. Framingham on Tuesday afternoon, May 5th from 4-7PM. His Funeral Services will be celebrated in the funeral home on Wednesday morning at 11 o'clock. Interment with military honors will follow in Edgell Grove Cemetery, Framingham.
