After a life of love and quiet grace, Sandra Yencho of Vero Beach, FL has passed.
Below, the simplest tribute: the truth of a life as it was lived.
Sandra spent her working life as ['the insurance industry'] and held deeply to the Lutheran faith — and was, by all accounts, loved by those who knew her best.
Some find their compass in faith. Sandra was among them.
Sandra Yencho, 85 of Vero Beach, Florida, passed into eternity with the Lord on May 1, 2026, at Hospice House in Vero Beach. Born and raised in Vero Beach, Sandra was a lifelong resident of the community she loved.
A proud graduate of Vero Beach High School, class of 1958, Sandra worked for the Property Appraisers Office of Indian River County and later went on to build a 25-year career in the insurance industry, where she was respected for her dedication and work ethic. She was a faithful member of Grace Lutheran Church, where her presence and spirit were a blessing to many.
Sandra will be remembered most for her generous heart and her love-language of cooking for others. Countless family members, friends and neighbors were nourished not only by her meals but by the warmth and care she poured into every dish. Her kindness and quiet acts of service touched many lives.
She is survived by her beloved husband of 64 years, Robert Yencho of Vero Beach; her sons, Robin Yencho (Patti) and John Yencho (Paula) both of Vero Beach; her grandchildren, Thomas Yencho (Lindsay), Kyle Yencho (Nicole), Tyler Burton and Alyssa Yencho all of Vero Beach; and her great-grandchildren, Teagan Yencho, Ryker Yencho, Adalee Yencho, Nora Yencho and Olivia Yencho, all of Vero Beach.
A celebration of Sandra's life will be held on Monday, May 18, 2026 at 4:00pm at Grace Lutheran Church located at 1150 41st Ave, Vero Beach, FL 32960. The service will be streamed live on Grace Lutheran's Facebook page for those who cannot attend. The family asks that in lieu of flowers a donation be made in Sandra Yencho's name to Gracie's Preschool 1150 41st Ave, Vero Beach, FL 32960.
Sandra's legacy of love, generosity and faith will continue to live on in all who knew her.
Arrangements are by Thomas S. Lowther Funeral Home & Crematory, Vero Beach.
