After a life of love and quiet grace, Victoria Rezabala of Tampa, FL has passed.
Below, a small portrait of a life that will not soon be forgotten.
Victoria held deeply to the Baptist faith — and was, by all accounts, loved by those who knew her best.
Some find their compass in faith. Victoria was among them.
Victoria Rezabala, 94, of Tampa passed away on May 3, 2026, at home with her family by her side. She was born a few days before Christmas on December 23, 1931, in Guayaquil, Ecuador to the late Angel Briones and Zoila (Casares) Briones. Victoria was a member of Hillsdale Baptist Church in Tampa, and she enjoyed sewing and going shopping.
Survivors include her children, Vicky Lugo (Modesto), Victor D. Rezabala (Guiomar), John Rezabala, and Lily Laney (Rodney); grandchildren, Victor, Lora, Gina, Royce, Maria, Nathan, and Daniel; 7 great-grandchildren; her brother, Angel Briones and many nieces and nephews. Victoria was predeceased by her husband, Victor S Rezabala, her son, Patrick Rezabala, and 5 siblings.
Services will be held on Friday, May 8th at 1:00 PM at Boza & Roel Funeral Home, 4730 N Armenia Ave., Tampa with visitation being held prior to the service from 12:00-1:00 PM. Burial will immediately follow at Myrtle Hill Cemetery in Tampa.
