Olivia Alonso of Texas City, TX has gone home, leaving behind a circle of those who loved her.

Olivia Ballesteros Alonso, 69, passed away peacefully on Sunday morning, April 26, 2026. She was born on August 21, 1956, in Brownsville, Texas, to Juan and Antonia Ballesteros from Colima, Mexico .
Olivia was a woman of strength, intelligence, and grace who devoted her life to her family. As a loving mother and grandmother, she led with compassion, kindness, and quiet resilience. Her radiant smile and gentle spirit brought light into every room, and her presence left a lasting impression on all who knew her.
She graduated from Ball High School and continued her education at Galveston College, where she distinguished herself both academically and athletically. Olivia earned honors on the Dean's List and President's List and took great pride in being a student-athlete. She played softball with passion and determination, reflecting the discipline and perseverance that defined her life.
Olivia faced life with courage. She endured illness and hardship, yet remained a steady and unwavering presence for her children. Her strength in the face of adversity was a testament to her character and the love she carried for her family.
She was welcomed into Heaven by her parents, Juan and Antonia Ballesteros, and her brothers, Norberto and Armando Ballesteros.
Olivia is survived by her daughter, Zenia Alonso Morales, and husband Bernardo Morales; her son, Adan Alonso, and wife Nada Alonso; her brother, Johnny Ballesteros; and her beloved grandchildren, Alexandria Arreazola, Landon DeLozier, Amere Alonso, Amarie Alonso, Adan Alonso "Beauski" and great grandson Giovanni Delgado.
Olivia's legacy of love, strength, and compassion will continue to live on through her family and all who were blessed to know her. She will be deeply missed and forever held in their hearts.
A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, May 9th, 2026, at 5:00p.m. at Carnes Funeral Home, 3100 Gulf Freeway Texas City 77591.
