Phyllis Ann Galbreath of Youngstown, OH has gone home, leaving behind a circle of those who loved her.

She Finished Her Race“I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith.” — 2 Timothy 4:7Phyllis Ann GalbreathPhyllis Ann Galbreath, 64, of Youngstown, Ohio, peacefully transitioned on Monday, May 4, 2026, at Maplecrest Nursing Home.She was born December 4, 1961, in Warren, Ohio, to the late Thomas “Rocky” Galbreath and Myrna McGinnis-Galbreath. Phyllis was a proud graduate of South High School, Class of 1980, and accepted Christ at an early age, carrying her faith with her throughout her life. Phyllis spent six years living in Akron, Ohio, before returning to Youngstown, where she remained for the rest of her life.She worked in retail for many years and was known for her warm spirit and love for people. She found joy in life’s simple pleasures. Phyllis loved playing bingo, visiting the casino, and crocheting and knitting special gifts for her grandchildren. She cherished time spent with her family, especially during the holidays. A devoted fan of the Pittsburgh Steelers, she faithfully watched every game and would often follow up with a phone call to her grandson to talk about the action.Phyllis leaves to cherish her memory her three daughters: Tamanika Galbreath and Dtreal Bennett, both of Youngstown, Ohio, and Bre-onia Galbreath of Erie, Pennsylvania; three grandchildren: Jermylin White Sr., Trevon Galbreath Sr., and Quiara Carter, all of Youngstown; and six great-grandchildren: Eva, Jermylin Jr., Trevon Jr., Taniya, Telaya, and Kashton.She is also survived by her sister, Wendy Logan; step-sisters, Brenda Peace and Katrina Walker; her beloved aunt, Mary Jane McGinnis; and her “adopted” daughter, Halla Berkey.Phyllis was preceded in death by her parents; her stepfather, Alex “Sonny” Favors, who lovingly raised her; and her brother, Michael Galbreath.The family extends heartfelt and special thanks to her devoted daily caregivers, Judy Fleming and Resheika Hurst, for their compassionate care and support.A Celebration of Life will be held on Friday, May 8, 2026, at 1:00 PM at Jerusalem Baptist Church, 2003 Wilson Avenue, Youngstown, Ohio. 44506Pastor Derrick H.
