With heavy hearts, we share the passing of Beth Ann Stump of Monroe, MI.
These words are offered in her memory — small, but heartfelt.
Beth held deeply to the Catholic faith — and was, by all accounts, loved by those who knew her best.
What Beth believed shaped how she loved.
Beth Ann Stump was born in Toledo, Ohio on January 30, 1961. She was one of four children from the union of Harriet (Philabaum) Raymond and Alfred Raymond. She was raised in the Catholic faith and baptized at St. Joseph Church in Erie. She faced many difficulties as a young girl but quickly learned resilience.
Through a mutual friend, Beth met the love of her life, Terry Paul Stump Sr. while still in high school. The couple quickly became inseparable. Although she was nine months pregnant, Beth proudly graduated in 1979 from Jefferson High School, a testament to her strength and love.
Beth and Terry were joined in marriage at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Maybee, Michigan on November 7, 1980. The couple was blessed with four children: Alfred, Terry Jr., Jennifer, and April.
Beth wore many hats during her working years, first starting as a home care worker assisting adults with developmental disabilities. She worked directly with those in need, helping them to find employment while at Macomb Residential Opportunity. Her compassion and patience were instrumental to her character, shown through her dedication to a job well done.
After moving on from home care, Beth worked for 18 years as a restaurant manager for McDonald's. Her astute leadership skills allowed her to direct teams seamlessly, making her an essential asset and dear friend to many.
When outside the workplace, Beth loved flexing her creative muscles. A crafting machine, she spent hours making flower arrangements and Christmas decorations. Her hand-crafted ornaments were brilliantly decorated and appreciated by all who received one as a gift.
Despite this, there was nothing else Beth loved more than her family. She adored spending time with her grandchildren, meeting with them any chance she could. For several years, she and Terry traverse the woods hunting. The past few years, as her health declined, Terry lovingly cared for her needs.
Beth Ann Stump, age 65 of Maybee, passed away at 4:42pm on Sunday; May 3, 2026, at her home. Her passing was preceded by her parents; her son: Alfred Stump in 1999; two grandchildren; and four great grandchildren including Enzo and Eric.
To cherish her memory, she leaves a beloved husband of forty-five years: Terry Stump Sr.; three children: Terry (Jenny) Stump Jr. of Monroe, Jennifer Stump, and April Howard of Detroit; a son-in-law: Scott Howard of Maybee; three siblings: Robert Raymond of California, Linda (Tom) Nash of Carleton, and Elizabeth (Joe) Nash of Monroe; twelve grandchildren; and four great grandchildren with two on the way.
