Below, the family shares some of what made her life meaningful.
What Judith gave her children, they will give to theirs.
With heavy hearts and deep love, we honor the life of Judith Gracia, a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and faithful servant of Jehovah, who touched countless lives with her kindness and warmth.
Born on January 15, 1945, in Ponce, Puerto Rico, Judith later made her home on the Lower East Side of Manhattan, where she built a life centered around family, faith, and compassion. She was the proud and loving mother of nine children: Lynn, Evelyn, Daisy, Jose, Lisa, Linda, Sindee, Jaymee, and Isaac. Her legacy continues through her 28 grandchildren and 41 great-grandchildren, all of whom she cherished deeply.
Judith was preceded in death by her beloved longtime husband, Edwin Gracia, with whom she shared many years of love and partnership. Together, they built a strong and loving family rooted in devotion and care.
A devoted Jehovah's Witness, Judith found great joy and purpose in her faith and her congregation. She was known for her unwavering dedication, her welcoming spirit, and her genuine care for others. Whether opening her home, offering guidance, or simply sharing her time, Judith made everyone feel seen, loved, and valued.
She had a gift for nurturing-not just her family, but anyone in need of comfort or support. Her hospitality was unmatched, her heart was generous, and her presence was a source of peace and joy to so many. Judy was truly adored by all who knew her.
Her passing leaves a profound void, but her love, strength, and faith will live on in the hearts of her family, friends, and congregation. She will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
