Sharon Denise Gilbert of Clearfield, UT has gone home, leaving behind a circle of those who loved her.

Sharon Denise Gilbert passed away peacefully at home surrounded by loved ones. She was 62 years old.Sharon was born January 31, 1964 in Anaheim California. She was the middle of 3 children. Sharon joined Danville when she was 23 years old. She lived in Utah County for a bit, then spent the rest of her life in Davis County in different homes with her best friend.Sharon loved life. She loved to craft. She could sew, paint, or string beads for hours. She loved to dance and her best move was her booty shake. Sharon was always ready to give a hug or a kiss, even to strangers. If you said Hi to her, you were an instant friend.Sharon had a flare for the dramatic and was known for running away from you saying “you don’t love me” if she didn’t get her way. And then come back for a hug and to say she was sorry.She loved to sing. “I Am A Child of God” and her made up “Where is Jen” were heard often.Sharon was loved by all her friends and staff. She kept us smiling and laughing and always wanting more hugs and kisses. She will be missed so much.Sharon is preceded in death by her parents Norman and Ada, her siblings Barbara and Raymond and a nephew.She leaves behind her best friends and roommates, staff, and her nieces and Sister in law.Funeral Services will be held Monday May 11, 2026 at 11:00 a.m. at Lindquist’s Layton Mortuary, 1867 N. Fairfield Rd., Layton, Utah. Family and friends may visit Monday from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. at the mortuary prior to the service.Interment will be held at the Farmington City Cemetery.The service will be live-streamed and may be viewed by scrolling to the bottom of Sharon’s obituary page at www.lindquistmortuary.com
