The family of Aase Feder of Lakeland, FL announces her passing, and invites all who knew her to remember her here.
Here is what mattered, in the years between the dates.
The years gathered, as years do, into a life.
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Aase Feder, a cherished mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend, who departed this world on April 22, 2026, at the age of 87. Born on December 7, 1938, in the picturesque city of Copenhagen, Denmark, Aase was the beloved daughter of Anna Anderson Clauser. Her early years in Denmark formed her love of the Danish culture, an influence that she carried with her throughout her life.
Aase's journey brought her across the ocean to the United States, where she created a life filled with love and dedication. Together with her late husband, Arthur Feder, she built a thriving business in Lakeland, Florida. Scan Design, their furniture store, was not just a business but a testament to their shared dream and hard work. For 56 years, Aase and Arthur stood side by side, partners in life and love, their bond an inspiring example of commitment and resilience.
A devoted member of Temple Beth Shalom in Winter Haven, Aase's faith was an integral part of her life, providing her with strength and solace. She was a woman of deep kindness and unwavering independence, whose sweet nature and tender heart touched everyone she met. Her compassion was as boundless as her love for her family, whom she cherished above all else.
Aase was the proud and loving mother of Annalisa Palen and her husband Walt, and Erik Feder and his wife Cari. Her legacy of warmth and love extends to her four grandchildren-Savanah, Zachary, Katie, and Jacob-and her great-grandchildren, Harper, Mackenzie, Landon, and Paisley. She was predeceased by her husband of 56 years, Arthur Feder and great-grandson, Sawyer Caldwell, and now joins them in eternal peace.
Aase's life was as colorful and varied as her many interests. She was an avid traveler, often returning to her beloved Denmark, a place that always held a special corner of her heart. She especially loved the color red, a detail that seemed to reflect her vibrant spirit. Her sweet tooth was a delightful quirk that family and friends fondly remember, as was her passion for knitting and the camaraderie of playing Mahjong with friends.
As a mother, and as a cherished "mormor" and "farmor"-names her grandchildren spoke with love-Aase embodied unwavering devotion and kindness. She uplifted those around her with her gentle spirit and nurturing heart, leaving behind a legacy defined by love, resilience, and the quiet, enduring impact of a life deeply and beautifully lived.
While the world feels a little dimmer without her radiant presence, Aase Feder's memory will forever illuminate the hearts of those who were fortunate enough to know her. As we bid farewell to a remarkable woman, we find comfort in the knowledge that her spirit will continue to guide and inspire us.
