The family of Betty Jean Lemmi of Pittsburgh, PA announces her passing, and invites all who knew her to remember her here.
What we offer here is gratitude wrapped in remembrance.
Betty held deeply to the Presbyterian faith — and was, by all accounts, loved by those who knew her best.
A life of faith is rarely a life of certainty — but always one of trust.
Betty Jean Fuller Lemmi, age 90, passed away peacefully on April 29, 2026, in the loving home of her son and daughter-in-law in Burgettstown (Hanover Township), where she had been residing.
Born on November 2, 1935, in Florence, she was the daughter of the late Charles W. Fuller and Josephine Harless Fuller. Betty attended Burgettstown Union High School and, in 1952, married George Lemmi of Burgettstown. Together, they shared 59 years of marriage before his passing in December 2011.
She is survived by her devoted son, Kevin George Lemmi and his wife Mary of Florence; her cherished great-grandsons, Logan and Lincoln Lemmi of Weirton; her niece, Lyn Cunningham Newman of North Carolina; and her nephew, Thomas Cunningham of Florence.
Betty was a faithful member of the Florence (Paris) Presbyterian Church, where she served as a Deacon, Elder, and Sunday School teacher. She was also deeply involved in her community, dedicating many years to the Hanover Park Board, where she took reservations for park shelters and helped coordinate youth programs.
In her earlier years, Betty was employed at the G. C. Murphy 5¢ & 10¢ store in Burgettstown.
In addition to her parents and her husband, she was preceded in death by her sister, Dora Cunningham Thomaselli, and her brother, Charles W. Fuller, Jr. ("Sonny").
In accordance with Betty's wishes, there will be no public service. She will be laid to rest beside her beloved husband at Our Lady of Lourdes Cemetery in Burgettstown.
Betty touched many lives with her kindness, dedication, and gentle spirit. She will be deeply missed and fondly remembered by all who knew and loved her. Her legacy lives on through her family and the many lives she influenced. Arrangements entrusted to Pittsburgh Cremation and Funeral Care, Robinson Township.
