Judith Eleanor "Judy" Pelowski of Rochester, MN, has passed away, leaving behind a family and community who loved her dearly.

These words are offered in her memory — small, but heartfelt.

Judith held deeply to the Catholic faith — and was, by all accounts, loved by those who knew her best.

The community of faith holds its own well — and Judith was held.

The world lost a very special person when Judith "Judy" Pelowski entered her heavenly dwelling May 1, 2026, after she died peacefully at St Marys Hospital in Rochester, MN.

Judy was born January 17, 1936, and grew up in Chatfield, a member of the large Charles and Virginia Follensbee family. She married Raymond Pelowski and they were blessed with 5 sons and 7 daughters. The family grew even more over the years with the addition of 22 grandchildren, 3 step-grandchildren, and 20 great-grandchildren.

Her life was deeply focused on her faith and family. She was a charter member of Church of the Resurrection Catholic Church where she became a very familiar face, volunteering in numerous activities and working there until her recent retirement. Judy was honored by the Diocese of Winona, which awarded her the Bishop's Medal for her church work.

Judy always found a way to put a smile on a person's face when they needed support. She will be deeply missed by many.

Judy is survived by her children Dwayne (Joan), Dave (Cindy), Patrice Steier (Bob), Don, Janie Jensch (Dick), Teresa Muzzy (Mike), Dennis (Sara), Derek (Lisa), Gail Sather (Jim), Kathryn Hyke (Dan), Lisa Pelowski (Mike), and Angela Palkowitsch (Adam). She is also survived by 4 sisters and numerous nephews, nieces, and other family members.

A Funeral Mass will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, May 8, 2026, at Resurrection Catholic Church with Fr. James Steffes officiating. Visitation will be held on Thursday, May 7 th, from 5:00-8:00 p.m. with a rosary at 7:30 p.m., and one hour prior to the service, all at Resurrection Catholic Church.

In lieu of flowers, Judy requested contributions to Resurrection Catholic Church.
