Mamie Cookie "Cookie" Garner of Pittsburgh, PA has gone home, leaving behind a circle of those who loved her.

Affectionately known as Cookie, Mamie Jeffrey Garner was born on February 21, 1942, and went to be with the Lord on April 25, 2026. She leaves behind a legacy of love, strength, faith, and dedication to her family. Mamie developed a personal relationship with Jesus Christ, which guided her life and gave her strength and peace.Mamie attended Schenley High School and went on to build a life marked by hard work and connection. She was employed by the United States Post Office and later became a successful business owner in the hospitality industry. Through her work, she found great joy in welcoming family, friends, and guests, creating spaces filled with warmth, laughter, and togetherness.
She was a devoted mother to her children: daughters Pamela and Robin, and son Robert. Her love extended across generations, and she took great pride in being a grandmother, great-grandmother, and great-great-grandmother. Mamie was preceded in death by her parents; her brothers, Nathaniel and William; and her beloved daughter, Robin. She leaves to cherish her memory her loving daughter, Pamela (Jack); her son, Robert (Stephanie); her grandchildren, Naron, Aza, Jasmine, and Mercedes; and a host of great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, extended family members, and friends. Mamie will be remembered for her welcoming spirit and the lasting impact she made on everyone who had the privilege of knowing her.
