It is with sorrow and gratitude that we mark the passing of Helen Joanne "Susie" Pace of Pittsburgh, PA — sorrow at the loss, gratitude for the life.

A life is more than dates on a stone; here is a small portion of her story.

Memory has a way of softening time.

On May 3, 2026, Helen "Susie" Joanne Pace, 73, of Sewickley, passed away peacefully.

She is survived by her brothers, Joseph and Thomas Pace; her loving nieces and nephews, Thomas Pace, Jr., Daniel Pace, Samuel (Ginger Davis) Pace, David (Kelly) Pace, Joseph Pace, Michael Rusak, and Melissa Rusak; and her great-nieces, Annabella, Brooklyn, Hailey, and Emily and great-nephew, Christopher. She will be deeply missed by many dear friends and family.

She was preceded in death by her siblings, Samuel Pace and Lois Rusak; and by her parents, Joan and Samuel Pace.

Susie was a proud member of Insulators Union Local 2.

Family and friends will be received on Wednesday from 2–4 PM and 6–8 PM at Simons Funeral Home, Inc., 7720 Perry Highway, where a Blessing Service will be held on Thursday at 1:00 PM in the chapel.
