After a life of love and quiet grace, Suzanne Suzie "Suzie" Longo of Quincy, IL has passed.

Suzanne held deeply to the Catholic faith — and was, by all accounts, loved by those who knew her best.
Some find their compass in faith. Suzanne was among them.
Suzanne L. "Suzie" Longo, age 89, of Quincy, died Saturday, May 2, 2026, at 4:25 pm in Blessing Hospital.
Suzie was born October 16, 1936, in Quincy, Illinois, the daughter of Fred W. and Louise H. Spindler Koch. She married Francis J. "Frank" Longo on April 7, 1956, at St. Francis Solanus Catholic Church in Quincy. He preceded her in death on March 21, 1999.
Survivors include: five children, Antoinette "Toni" (Bob) Smith of Bellville, IL, Theresa "Teri" Struck of Quincy, Mark (Liz) Longo of Quincy, Matt (Amy) Longo of Quincy, and Tina (John Hodgden) Ruding of Enid, OK; 13 grandchildren, Jamie Lynn Smith, Emily (Mitch) Fisher, Chad (Lindsay) Struck, Ryan (Allison) Struck, Kayla (Ryan) Rumpf, Amanda (Mark) Bokish, Anthony (Maggie) Longo, Adam Longo, Rose (Ross) Finley, Jacob (Shawna) Longo, Michael Longo, Anna Louise Ruding, and Margrethe "Maggie" Ruding; 12 great-grandchildren, Bella, Nora, Drew, Rowan, Ellie, Charlotte Rose, Isaac, Lucy, Lucas, Mattie, Brynn, and Reese; as well as numerous other relatives.
In addition to her husband, Frank, Suzie was preceded in death by: her parents, Fred and Louise Koch; a great-granddaughter, Taigen Finley; four brothers, Melvin Koch, Howard Koch, Jim Koch, and Norbert Koch; three sisters, Jean Powers, Joyce Hunter, and Mary Heintz; and a son-in-law, Randy Struck.
Visitation: 4:00 pm - 7:00 pm, Wednesday May 6, 2026, at Hansen-Spear Funeral Home
Services: 10:00 am Thursday, May 7, 2026, at the Quincy University Chapel (located in St. Francis Hall), with Father John Doctor OFM officiating. Burial to follow in Quincy Memorial Park.
