Robert E. "Bob" Wilson of Logan, OH, has passed away, leaving behind a family and community who loved him dearly.

What follows is not the whole story, but a thread of it.

Robert held deeply to the Presbyterian faith — and was, by all accounts, loved by those who knew him best.

The community of faith holds its own well — and Robert was held.

Robert E. Wilson, age 67, of Logan, Ohio, passed away April 30, 2026, at Hickory Creek of Athens, The Plains, Ohio.

Robert was born May 9, 1958, in Nelsonville, Ohio, to Robert M. Wilson and Helen M. (Chesser) Wilson. He owned and operated Wilson Studio & Camera Shop in Nelsonville; he was a member of The First Presbyterian church of Nelsonville where he served as a church elder; was a member of the Elks Lodge # 543 of Nelsonville; was a longtime trustee of the Parade of the Hills; and the longest serving president of the Nelsonville Chamber of Commerce; taught photography at the Hocking College; former photographer for the Athens Messenger. His joys in life were his family, volunteering and taking pictures in the community, not only was it his occupation, it was his joy. Robert (Bob) never Knew the meaning of the word "can't", he always fought back and never lost his faith.

Surviving are his wife, Mary Woolever Wilson; son Charles Eugene (Katie) of Cincinnati, daughter Alician Jo-Anna (Dale) Wolfe of Cincinnati; brother Gerald M. (Shirley) Wilson of Nelsonville; and sister Sandra (John) King of Columbus; grandchildren Nora Wolfe, Elliot Wolfe, Walker Wilson, Violet Wilson.

Robert was preceded in death by parents Robert & Helen Wilson; stepmother Carolyn Wilson.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM Monday May 4, 2026 at the First Presbyterian Church of Nelsonville, Ohio with his niece Rev. Ann Marie Carley officiating.

Calling hours will be observed 2-4 6-8 PM Sunday May 3, 2026, at the Warren-Brown Funeral Home Nelsonville, Ohio.
