Terry Lee Pankow of Willmar, MN, has passed away, leaving behind a family and community who loved him dearly.

Terry held deeply to the Lutheran faith — and was, by all accounts, loved by those who knew him best.

Terry Lee Pankow, age 76, of Willmar, passed away Sunday, April 26, at the St. Cloud Hospital.Visitation will begin at 10 a.m. followed by his funeral service at 11 a.m. on Saturday, May 9, at Redemer Lutheran Church in Willmar. Interment will be at Fairview Memorial Gardens in Wahpeton, North Dakota. Arrangements are entrusted to Peterson Brothers Funeral Home. www.petersonbrothers.comTerry was born on February 1, 1950, in Fargo, North Dakota, the son of Norman and Pearl (Kackman) Pankow. He grew up in Lidgerwood, North Dakota and graduated from Lidgerwood High School in 1968. He then attended Concordia College in St. Paul and graduated with a BS degree in Social Work and then earned his Masters degree in Social Work from Valparaiso University in Indiana. On June 10, 1972, Terry was married to Cheryl Kay Vogeler. They made their home in Indiana and moved to Crookston in 1979. In 1994, they moved to Willmar and was employed at Woodland Centers for over 20 years as a clinical coordinator and social worker. He later worked part-time at the West Central Tribune in Willmar. Terry enjoyed gardening, baking and cooking.He is survived by one son, Brent Pankow of Willmar; two grandsons; and two brothers, Craig (and Perla) Pankow of Washburn, ND., and Tim (and Connie) Pankow of West Fargo, ND., besides other relatives and friends.He was preceded in death by his wife, Cheryl in 2024; an infant sister, Brenda; and his parents.
