Mark Sandlin of Rochester, New York, passed away on April 26, 2026 at the age of 53. Born on November 15, 1972, in Rochester, New York, Mark lived a life grounded in quiet strength, compassion, and unwavering dedication to those he loved.
Mark was a devoted family man who quietly showed up for all who needed him. His presence was steady, his care genuine, and his love deeply felt. He took great pride in helping to raise his children, an experience that reflected his giving spirit and commitment to family. He leaves to cherish his memory his three sisters, Tileesia, Marcia, and Donna Sandlin of Rochester, New York; his step-brother, Joshua Sandlin; his nephew, Calvin Sandlin; his niece, Destiny Sandlin; three great-nephews, Damion Clark, Keshawn, and Cameron Sandlin; and his great-niece, Carmen Sandlin. He is also lovingly remembered by his god-brother, Troy Wallace; a special friend, Sherita, whom he embraced as a niece; and a host of relatives, co-workers, and friends. Mark was preceded in death by his beloved parents, Donald Sandlin and June Sandlin, whose love and guidance shaped the man he became.
A faithful member of Glory Worship Center, Mark found strength and purpose in his faith. His dedication to his church community was a meaningful part of his life. He was equally committed to his profession, serving as a nurse at the Jewish Home of Rochester for 30 years. Through his work, he demonstrated compassion, reliability, and a deep sense of care that left a lasting impression on those he served and worked alongside.
Mark will be remembered for his love of family, his strong work ethic, and the quiet yet lasting impact he made on everyone around him. His kindness, humility, and steady presence will never be forgotten.
He will be deeply missed and forever cherished in our hearts.
A Memorial Service celebrating his life will be held: Friday, May 8, 2026, 12:00 Noon Miracle Deliverance Faith Center 69 Whitney Street Rochester, New York 14611
Family, friends, and all whose lives were touched by Mark are invited to attend and honor his memory. A repass will be held immediately following the service at the same location.
