Scott R. Finnerty of Rochester, NY has gone home, leaving behind a circle of those who loved him.

To raise a child is to give the world a future. Scott did this with care.
Scott R. Finnerty passed suddenly on April 24, 2026, at the age of 62.
He was a truly kind and giving man, always the first one to help anyone in need. He was a wonderful and loving father figure.
Scott is survived by, and will be profoundly missed by his wife, Jen Zarpentine; step-children, Justyn Cotter and Morgan (Anthony Cao) Zarpentine; siblings: Gary DellaVecchia, Mark Finnerty, Julie (Steve) Wilson,Jennifer (Frank) Romano, Daniel Dutcher, Dee Dee (Dan Howard) Dutcher, and Jim (Gloria) Dutcher; brother-in-law, Kirk Nawrocki; aunts, Sherry Cumbo, Gloria Parker Pies, and Gini Querney; as well as numerous nieces and nephews, cousins; tons of close friends including his best friend, Dave McCadden.
A graduate of Pittsford Sutherland High School, Scott went on to start his own business, Express Appliance Service in Rochester.
Close Friends and Family are invited to call between the hours of 10:00 AM 6 12 Noon, followed by a Memorial Service at 12:00 PM, on Sunday, May 3, 2026, all held at Miller Funeral and Cremation Services, Inc. 3325 Winton Road South, Rochester.
