It is with sorrow and gratitude that we mark the passing of Bruce A. Johnson of Rochester, NY — sorrow at the loss, gratitude for the life.

A life is more than dates on a stone; here is a small portion of his story.

Memory has a way of softening time.

BRUCE A. JOHNSON

Rochester: Passed away peacefully with family by his side on April 23, 2026 at age 72 after a hard long 17 year battle with kidney disease.

He was predeceased by his parents, Willard and Virginia Johnson; brother, William Johnson. He is survived by his brother, Robert (Deborah) Johnson; nieces, Angela (Jeff Parker), Kelsey Hartigan; nephews, Leo and Henry and several cousins.

Bruce was an Aquinas Institute graduate and retired from Wegmans after over 45 years of service. In his retirement he enjoyed a round of golf, visits to the casinos, Indianapolis Colts Football as well as Holiday Family Times. The family wants to offer Special Thanks to 'Dr. Diego' and the Strong Hospital ICU Units.

Family and friends are invited to call on Thursday, April 30th from 4-7 PM at Miller Funeral and Cremation Services, Inc., 3325 Winton Road South, Rochester, NY 14623. Services and Interment will be held privately. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the National Kidney Foundation30 East 33rd Street, New York, NY 10016, in his memory.
