It is with sorrow and gratitude that we mark the passing of Cheryl Reanee Hocker of Oklahoma City, OK — sorrow at the loss, gratitude for the life.

Cheryl spent her working life as ['Homes by Taber'] — and was, by all accounts, loved by those who knew her best.
A life is built quietly, day by day.
Cheryl Reanee Hocker, 56, of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, passed away peacefully on May 2, 2026. Born on August 6, 1969, in Moore, Oklahoma, Cheryl brought light and love to all who knew her throughout her life.
She was the beloved daughter of David Donald Hocker and the late Waunita Mae Hocker. Cheryl was also preceded in death by her brother, David Bradley Hocker. She is survived by her cherished children: Kirstie Denae Hocker and her significant other Andé; Bradley Ryan Hocker and his significant other Kaitlyn; and Kolby David Hocker and his significant other Kirstynn. Cheryl was a devoted Gigi to Wylie Tate Hocker and Ayzen Reign Hocker, who were the pride and joy of her life.
For over a decade, Cheryl worked at Homes by Taber, where she formed deep connections with colleagues who became like family. Her dedication to her work and the people around her left a lasting impression on everyone, fortunate enough to know her.
A woman of faith, Cheryl attended Triumph Family Worship Center in Oklahoma City, where she served in various roles within the church community. Her commitment to her faith was evident in how she lived-with kindness, compassion, and a forgiving heart that inspired those around her.
Cheryl's vibrant personality could light up any room. Those who knew her often remarked on how easy she was to talk to and how deeply she cared for others. Her love for life touched countless lives in profound ways.
Her memory will be forever cherished by family, friends, and all whose lives she enriched with her warmth and generosity. May her legacy of love continue to inspire those blessed to know her.
Visitation will be held from 4:00-8:00pm, on Friday, May 8, 2026, at the John M. Ireland Funeral Home & Chapel, located at 120 S. Broadway, in Moore.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00pm, on Saturday, May 9, 2026, at Triumph Family Worship Center, located at 3425 SW 44th St., in Oklahoma City. In lieu of flowers, the family encourages acts of kindness in Cheryl's honor as a tribute to the loving spirit she embodied throughout her life.
