It is with sorrow and gratitude that we mark the passing of Francis Owen Hazard of Rochester, NY — sorrow at the loss, gratitude for the life.
Some lives speak quietly; his is one such story.
Some people pass through; others leave a path.
Passed on Saturday April 25, 2026, at the age of 84.
He is predeceased by his mother, Leona Hazard; father, Pearl Hazard; step-father, Royce Herrala; and Francis's four siblings.
Francis is survived by his wife, Charlotte Hazard; daughters, Nadine (Lance) Baxter, Wendy Hazard; grandchildren, Jeffrey Orbaker, Sr., Casandra Orbaker, Eric Byork, Jr., Atheena-Marie Wilferth; and multiple great-grandchildren.
He had a great interest in trains and was an enjoyer of airshows. He was also a member of a bowling team, and was an avid reader, most often Stephen King on his Kindle.
Francis's interment will be held privately
