Rita Faye Collins, age 71, a resident of Parkway Drive in Salyersville, Kentucky, passed away peacefully Saturday, May 2, 2026, at the Salyersville Health and Rehabilitation Center in Salyersville, Kentucky after a lengthy illness.
Born April 9, 1955, in Lansing, Michigan the daughter of the late James and Sally Prater Collins. Brothers, Danny Dwayne Collins, Claude Ray Collins, and sister, Joyce Ann Collins also preceded in death.
Rita was employed in housekeeping at the Salyersville Health and Rehabilitation Center in Salyersville, Kentucky for many years prior to retirement.
Those left to mourn includes brother, Charles Collins and wife Melissa of Jackson, Kentucky, sister, Geraldine Bailey of Salyersville, Kentucky, a host of family and friends who love and miss her.
Funeral services for Rita Faye Collins will be conducted Wednesday, May 6, 2026, at 11:00 AM from the chapel of the Salyersville Funeral Home in Salyersville, Kentucky. Clergy Bill Miller will deliver comforting words on the day of service. Interment will follow in the Prater Cemetery on Half Mountain Road in Salyersville, Kentucky. The family will welcome friends Tuesday, May 5, after 5:00 PM and any time prior to funeral services. Contributions can be made to the memorial fund at the Salyersville Funeral Home.
